Well well well......It has been over a year since the last post on this site and the last podcast. Where have we been? What have we been doing? Burn out, scheduling conflicts, and conflicting opinions all led to the blog and podcast coming to a screaming halt. What it boils down to is real life was more important than gaming.
What's this thing you call real life? Let me explain with a break down of what has been happening in our lives. James moved to Denver. Duncan got promoted to sergeant and has prisoners to keep in line. Mike works an outrageous number of hours each day, 6 days a week. Betty went back to school for another degree. Jack got promoted/new job which keeps him busy and is expecting his second kid. Seth finished his doctorate and moved to South Dakota. Conor started college. Andy, we still don't know where he is (I know someone will appreciate that joke). We have been spread thin to say the least.
However, we never quit playing 40k. There are always down times but the game continues to be an important part of our lives. Also, we have added a couple new members to the team to fill in the ranks. Long time players who we have all known for a long time, Aaron and Will.
What does this all mean? While we continue to go to tournaments we plan to work the podcast back in to our lives. The group has become scattered across the nation and its a chance for us to not only talk 40k but to stay in touch. After all, the best part about the game is the friends you make along the way.

The 40K Heretics Rulebook is Real… Only it’s Not!
Yes… you heard that correctly. After a lot of digging and snooping around the inside of the great citadel (or should that be Citadel) that is Games Workshop, we have some very interesting news about the so-called Heretics 40K Rulebook… or the 6th Edition Leak for those with little flair for the dramatic!
It turns out that this is in fact an actual early version of the 6th Edition rules… but not quite. Apparently the Design department were let loose on the 40K system… they were allowed to try anything they fancied… we’re told that nothing was off the table. This “no-holds-barred” version was then edited down with the truly unworkable ideas removed and those that could prove to be exciting or contentious left in to be play-tested… so was born the Heretics 40K Rulebook!
This version was sent to trusted play-testers. Who like all trusted minions… were turned by the

40k stuff that one day you can make at home, kinda.
So Games Workshop is under attack from printers this time, but its a new one, like off Star Trek.
