Dark Eldar Jet Fighter

So, If you listened to the third episode of the podcast you know I have started a Dark Eldar army. In the next couple of weeks I will attempt to get all the pics I have taken of all the projects I have been working on. First, lets start with the kit I was most excited about putting together. Shown in the first picture is what comes in the box and what tools I used to put it together.

Notice this kit only come with two sprues in the box. Along with many of the plastic kits this one makes efficient space within the sprue. I used a pair of side clippers, a knife to clean off all the pieces and super glue to assemble the model. Next, I assembled the cockpit.

Exorcists - Mad Dash to the Finish Line

As of now I am officially on vacation for a week so instead of doing useless things like cleaning the house, fixing broken crap, taking down christmas lights, etc. I have decided to do the much more important task of finishing my Adepticon force!!!

So here is what I have to do:

The great gaming Santa brought me a battlefoam pack 720 and not much else gaming wise. Thankfully however I did get time to complete 28 more of the Iron Warriors for Emperormas.

So it is the time of year that you go, run, hide and work on your mins, if your f*&%ing (self edit) loving famly is over. That's if your lucky. If your me, your in a diffent state, in some ones house you only see once every other year. (What's her name?)

Right now I'm sitting here with a lot of people talking around me about people and stuff I don't care about.

For christmas this year I got a Battle Foam bag(720). Ill be doing a reveiw of it around of the new years. I also got the Javelin Imperial Jet Bike from Chapter House Studios, along with some shoulder pads for Betty and myself.

But getting back to what I wanted to say.

Carcadons Update

Its been a long time coming, I had too much on my work desk to do anything, and that held me back. So after being lazy for 4 weeks and only working on one or two things, I cleaned off my desk to see if that would help. I put up the last of my Nids since I was never going to paint the last 8 or 10, put up all the little things I was doing (Grey Knights), and threw away a bag of S#$t (Self Edit) out the door.

I have not done that much painting, but I have put together a few things in the past few days. So here my list:

EXORCIST UPDATE: Squad Sergeants

Hello fellow 40k enthusiasts and stalkers, Sensei Xeno here with another Exorcists update. Today I'll be talking about the Sergeant in my army (see awesome photo 1 and 2). In the fluff exorcists have a rank of marines that dedicate themselves to higher expertise and knowledge of fighting demons. These marines are known as Orisons. So, because of this I wanted to make them look different. I wanted to keep with the cloaks I had on the regular marines but I wanted to go a step further, so I chose the cloaks from the dark angels. After painstakingly taking off all the dark angel symbols, they were just what I was looking for.  I was very happy with the results. I was able to make a sergeant that had a different look but was keeping with the theme of the army. What do you think?

We recorded Episode 2 of the BPR6s podcast last night from the new Gaming Bunker known as the basement of my new house. I've got to get a few pictures of my Iron Warriors posted as soon as possible on here so that people can see how they are coming along. I should hopefully get a few of those pictures of both the before, middle, and finished result posted in the next day or so depending on work and getting stuff unpacked.

In the meanwhile, allow me to say what I want out of a new Chaos Legions Codex.

The current Chaos Codex is a minimalistic attempt that destroys most of the flavor of Chaos and turns it into a bland pile of crap that performs poorly on both the battlefield and in capturing the imagination of most gamers(myself included).

Vampire Counts Rumor

Games Workshop just pulled the current Vampire Counts Army Book, and several SKUs.

Look for it January-February.

Chaos Legions Rumor

ghost21 reports that the plan is for 3 Chaos books. Legions, Renegades and Daemons

Daemons are already covered, so the next book will cover the Chaos Legions, with a future Renegades codex incorporating all manner of traitor humans, mutants and Marines-gone-bad.

ghost21 thinks this Legions book will be 1st or 2nd book after 6th edition, which is being released July 2012, putting the release around October-November 2012

Harry supports this, saying:
I do think CSM are the first sixth edition book but not sure if they come just before or just after 6th edition.

i also saw things for something called knights of the inner circle (or something along those lines).. they were named each came from a successor chapter, n the guy who lead them was a bt... it was interesting but as usual salt applies

Kentucky Hosting Feast of Blades Qualifiers!!!

Kentucky has been chosen to host Feast of Blades qualifiers. Everyone at Team Scabbard is really excited about taking part in this kick-ass tournament!! If you don't know much about Feast of Blades check out the web site at www.feastofblades.com. As more information becomes available about when and where we are going to be holding the qualifiers, we will post the information on this and other sites.

EXORCIST UPDATE

For those of you that have been around the Scabbard or listened to BPR6 you know I'm working on an exorcist army for Adepticon. Well it has been a lot of fun and I've liked it so much I have decided to sell my *takes a deep breath* Red Templar/blood angel/space wolf/space marine/blood crusaders/dark angel army and build up my exorcist army in it's place. My...lets call them Templar for short, army was the first full painted and based army I made that didn't make someone throw up with the sheer disgust, but they were still not up to par with what I should be painting for tournaments. After 2 tournaments of decent but average paint scores, I knew I was going to have to repaint them anyway.
